Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used by the website and how to control optional analytics.
Review before relying on

What cookies and similar storage do
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also save information on your device. They can remember a preference or help measure website use. Not every form of storage is needed for the site to function.
This website separates essential operation from optional analytics. Refusing analytics must not prevent you from browsing pages or sending an enquiry.
Essential operation and preference storage
Essential storage is used only where needed for site functions, security or remembering your cookie choice. The proposed preference record is described below. Hosting or security services must be checked for any additional storage before launch; they must not be treated as essential without assessing their purpose.
| Name / technology | Provider | Purpose | Proposed duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| onkon-consent / local storage | Onkon Group website | Remembers analytics choice, policy version and choice timestamp | Six months; application-enforced expiry because local storage has no automatic expiry |
[PLACEHOLDER - confirm: P07 final preference key, duration and any additional essential cookies or storage found in the production audit]
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose to allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 is used to help understand visits and page use. It may process device/browser information, referral information, visited pages and identifiers stored in cookies. It is not needed to contact me.
The implementation must not load GA4 or send analytics requests before your permission. The intended scope is basic site-use measurement, not advertising personalisation or remarketing.
The following are common GA4 cookies, not a verified inventory of this site:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Typical default, subject to configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes browsers for analytics | Up to two years; may refresh on use |
| _ga_<measurement-id> | Google Analytics | Maintains session-related analytics state | Up to two years; may refresh on use |
The measurement-specific suffix varies by property. Cookie lifetime is different from the retention period for data held in the analytics service.
[PLACEHOLDER - confirm: P07 actual cookie names, domains, lifetimes, refresh behaviour, GA4 event-data retention, Google Signals/advertising settings and data sent]
Further information:
Accept, reject or change your choice
The cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics with equal access to both choices. Manage preferences lets you review the categories before saving. Analytics is off unless you actively allow it.
You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time. Withdrawing permission stops future analytics collection and should remove accessible first-party analytics cookies. It does not automatically erase data already processed before withdrawal; the Privacy Policy explains how to ask about that information.
Browser controls and unavailable storage
You can also use your browser settings to inspect or delete cookies and local storage. Removing the preference record may cause the website to ask for your choice again. Blocking essential storage may affect the ability to remember that choice.
If the website cannot save your preference, analytics must stay off. With JavaScript disabled, analytics must also remain off. These choices must not block access to the site’s written content.
Third-party services and changes
Following a link to another website brings you under that website’s own cookie practices. External social or video content should not be embedded in a way that sets optional cookies before permission.
This policy needs updating if storage technologies, service providers or tracking settings change. New optional purposes may require a new consent choice rather than silently reusing an earlier one.
